Zakary D. Griego is an intellectual property attorney who advises businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives on trademark law, copyright law, brand protection, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. As a Texas trademark attorney and Amarillo business attorney, he assists clients with trademark clearance and registration, copyright counseling, contract drafting and negotiation, business formation, and guidance on corporate governance matters. Zak also advises clients on privacy law issues and holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential.
Zak brings experience representing clients across a wide range of industries at a Texas-based law firm, where he handled trademark prosecution, trademark enforcement, commercial agreements, and business transactions. He also gained litigation and regulatory insight as a judicial intern in Colorado’s 20th Judicial District and as a summer associate at a national litigation firm supporting securities and disability rights matters.
Zak earned his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Texas Tech University, graduating summa cum laude, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School. He is licensed to practice law in Texas and approved for admission in Colorado. His background in advertising strengthens his work as an intellectual property attorney by providing a unique understanding of branding strategy, brand development, and the legal issues that affect companies working to build and protect brand identities.
