White Collar Defense – State v. Richardson: NOT GUILTY
Mullin Hoard & Brown attorneys David Mullin and Richard Biggs represented former Randall County Sheriff Joel Richardson in the highest profile public corruption case in Texas Panhandle history. Sheriff Richardson, who had been sheriff of Randall County for 20 years, was accused of “Abuse of Official Capacity” by a special prosecutor in a case stemming from the acquisition and contracting for a drone system for the Randall County Sheriff’s Office. David and Richard were able to demonstrate to the jury that there had been no wrongdoing, that no funds were misused by Sheriff Richardson, and that the drones provided vital public safety support.
